This set of job aids provides guidelines to community health workers on how to identify the symptoms of malnutrition in HIV-positive adults and children, including how to use the mid-upper arm circumference tape, a simple tool used to measure a person’s nutritional status. The aids also provide guidelines for administering ready to use therapeutic foods.

This booklet gives advice on self-management of HIV, positive HIV prevention, living with HIV, and management and prevention of simple side effects and opportunistic infections.  It is primarily for people living with HIV, but it can also be used by ART and ART/TB treatment supporters, caregivers, family members, and community health workers.

These guidelines aim at enabling HIV counseling and testing (HCT) service providers to reduce missed opportunities for HCT through strategic communication; specific targeting of eligible populations; integration of HCT with key services; and coordination of HCT services at national, district, and service-delivery levels. They also place emphasis on the need to provide accurate HIV test results and include guidance on confirmatory testing and re-testing of people who test HIV-negative

This document contains the revised guidelines for antiretroviral therapy (ART), prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), nutrition care and support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA), infant and young child feeding (IYCF) in the context of HIV, and pediatric and adolescent HIV care. The document is meant to facilitate integration of these services and promote a family-centered approach to HIV prevention, care and treatment.

Infant and Young Child Feeding with a Special Focus HIV/AIDS Infant and Young Child Feeding with a Special Focus HIV/AIDS

This question and answer guide, part of an integrated set of IYCF materials, translates Ugandan policy guidelines into a user-friendly counseling tool, intended for use by program implementers, health care providers and community volunteers. The guide addresses frequently asked questions to help health care workers in facilities counsel mothers in nutrition for infants and young children.
