Arua Regional Referral Hospital (RRH) is located in Arua district, West Nile sub-region, approximately 480 kilometers northwest of Kampala.
According to the 2014 census data, Arua Hospital serves a population of 782,077 in the district. With a bed capacity of 323 beds, the hospital is the referral facility for the districts of Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Moyo, Nebbi, Yumbe and Zombo. The SUSTAIN project scope for Arua consisted of only laboratory strengthening until July 2014 when the project took over support for comprehensive HIV/AIDS services from Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF). Arua RRH, with the support of USAID/SUSTAIN, is also utilizing the science of quality improvement to enhance the quality of HIV/AIDS care and treatment services.
