Celebrating Seven Years of Partnership Combatting HIV in Uganda

USAID/SUSTAIN hosted a transition and learning event in Kampala on October 11, 2017. Attended by key representatives from the Ministry of Health, USAID, and implementing partners, the high-profile event symbolized the official handover of fifteen SUSTAIN-supported health facilities to new implementing partners according to a recent geographical reorganization by USAID/Uganda.

The project has achieved impressive results over the years and key achievements highlighted below were showcased at the event;

To transfer the knowledge the project gained over the past seven years of implementation, and to guide future interventions to improve HIV service delivery in Uganda, the project developed a series of publications to share with stakeholders.

SUSTAIN now focus its efforts in the Lango and Acholi Sub-regions in Northern Uganda where it will work with 16 districts previously supported by the USAID Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) Project.
