Kotido Health Center (HC) IV located in Kotido District, is 595 kilometers northeast of Kampala. It is a government-owned healthcare facility serving the district’s approximately 181,050 people, according to the 2014 census data.
Kotido HC IV supports 15 lower healthcare facilities within the district and has a bed capacity of 50. Services offered include inpatient, emergency, and outpatient services including HIV prevention, care and treatment.
USAID/SUSTAIN provides support to laboratory strengthening and laboratory service delivery activities at the hospital. The project also contributes to healthcare financing through sub-grants that support routine HIV service delivery operations as well as recruitment of staff to bridge critical clinical services personnel gaps.
