Mubende Regional Referral Hospital (RRH) is located in central Uganda, 150 kilometers from Kampala. Mubende provides health care services to people in the districts of Mubende, Mityana, Kyegegwa, Kiboga, and parts of Sembabule and Kibaale. According to the 2014 census data, Mubende district has a population of 684,337 people. With a capacity of 173 beds, the hospital offers general and specialized services including chronic HIV care; ear, nose, and throat care and treatment; imaging; and laboratory services.
Since 2010, the USAID/SUSTAIN project has supported Moroto to deliver quality and comprehensive HIV/AIDS services. Moroto is also one among six hospitals receiving support from the project to pilot provision of adolescent friendly health services.
